Literacy
Literacy skills are all the skills needed for reading and writing. They include awareness of the sounds of language, print and the relationship between letters and sounds. E.g vocabulary, spelling and comprehension.

Science
Science is a way of organizing what we already know and learning more by discoveries and experiments.

ICT
Learning about control systems and robots increases children’s awareness of many of the operating systems we use to manage our everyday lives. You could say that it develops essential life skills they will need in adult life, such as operating a washing machine and other devices.
Whatever stage of learning your child is at, ICT can help motivate, stimulate or if necessary, re-engage them. Challenging tasks become more manageable and mundane activities more accessible. Some schools also find that children reach higher levels when technology is made a part of lessons.

Geography
Geography informs us about our planet and the world we live in. We learn about different places, the continents and countries as well as the oceans, rivers, deserts or mountains on our planet

Arts and Designs
Creating art expands a child’s ability to interact with the world around them, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication. Not only does art help to develop the right side of the brain, it also cultivates important skills that benefit a child’s development

Phonics
From making friends to confidence with letters and numbers, there’s a lot to learn when starting school. Children learn a lot through play – but these days, reading skills are also taught systematically, from the earliest days in nursery or reception class right through their first years in primary school
